Beauty Talk : A Little Bit of Morocco

I found it! My holy grail lipstick.

Part 1: For years, I thought that lipstick was “bold red or go home” and that it was something for special occasions only. That was, until I was given a Lancôme 312 Beige Byzantin Mat for my birthday. A shade that I would never have picked for myself, I was initially unsure of the pinky-peachy colour but, upon application, it was perfection. It was just like my natural lip colour but slightly more saturated. And thus, I became a daily lipstick-wearer.

Part 2: When I found out that my one-true-love Lancôme lipstick had been discontinued (*hyperventilates*), I searched for months for a colour match. You would think that it would be easy… a quick stop at the MAC counter; maybe Lancôme made a similar shade; maybe even Hourglass or Illamasqua? Not so! It was hard to find something that matched the peachy, terracotta colour that looks most natural on my skin tone. However, by chance I found NARS Semi Matt Morocco at MECCA Cosmetica. The colour is slightly deeper, which I actually prefer, and its texture is creamier and more moisturising. And, best of all, it is abundantly in stock!
